1998 Bob Moore

Bob Moore started at Disney as an assistant animator in 1940, and worked on Bambi, The Reluctant Dragon, and Dumbo. During World War II, he animated training films for US Navy pilots. After the war, he worked on Make Mine Music and Melody Time, among other films. In 1951, Bob was asked to run the one-man art department for publicity, which he did for the next 30 years. He created promotional concepts for Disney films and theme parks, and also designed many Disney movie posters, letterheads, logos and Christmas cards. Bob is also known to Disney fans for creating the murals at three Walt Disney Elementary Schools (including the one in Walt’s home town of Marceline, Missouri) and for creating the 1968 US postage stamp honoring Walt.
